High School Boys
High School rugby in Northern California is coming back slowly, and it's becoming clear that playing in the Bay Area is a little more difficult than playing in some other areas of the region.
Because the Southern California's Boys HS season is split up into three, no, four leagues, it's easy to see it as small, but taken in aggregate we see that this past weekend eight games involving 16 teams.
New Orleans Jesuit put down quite the marker over the weekend, beating Dallas Jesuit in Texas.
Dallas was blooding some new talent but had experience and would have been expecting to put in a closer effort in this game, of not a win. The Rangers got tries from Jodan Mason and Neil Lancaster but New Orleans won big 47-10.
Jacksonville opened up the Florida HS season with an impressive 15-5 win over the Naples Hammerheads Saturday in what is a tight league in the Sunshine State.
Torrey Pines defeated San Clemente HS in emphatic fashion Saturday in Southern California Youth Rugby single-school competition.
