High School Boys
Staples finished in the top four in the 2021 Boys HS Rugby National Championships and this year are eager to show that wasn't a one-off.
The Connecticut school team is looking to play at Nationals again and so it wasn't surprising to see them take on a ranked out-of-state team in their opener.
The Woodlands is on tour in California and produced a series of a solid results on the road.
On Sunday Woodlands played the San Diego Legion Crusaders U19 Academy side at Chula Vista. While a score was reported this was a short session based on set piece and not a full game. No kicks, and lots of set piece work. Woodlands scored three tries and gave up one.

As you may know, we are in Ireland seeing first-hand how Irish Rugby Tours sets up tours for teams across America. We saw St. Thomas Aquinas play Ennis Rugby Club on the West Coast of Ireland to a tie.
In a game that was postponed to Monday due to weather, #2 school team Gonzaga defeated #5 HS club team Fort Hunt 48-7.
Fort Hunt Head Coach Dale Roach was pretty clear on how that game went. “They were very good in every phase of the game,” said Roach. “When we made mistakes they made us pay.”
It was early days still for both teams but Gonzaga has a lot of the pieces.
