The procedure wasn’t expected to be a big deal - wrestlers and rugby players, and Jesse Phillips was both, get their noses bashed around a bit - but it ended up being a very, very big deal.
High school rugby in Western New York has switched into high gear. The West division of Rugby NY began its league play later than other areas of the country due to its wet climate. Competition in this area is now entering its fourth week of a packed seven week regular season.
The Ravenwood Raptors capped off a 10-1 season, with a 28-17 defeat of the Harpeth Harlequins to take the Tennessee state championship this past weekend.
Ravenwood finished 9-0 in Tennessee, with their only loss being against top-ranked St. Edward of Ohio.
