Highland and Herriman are set up for the Utah Youth Rugby school final, and it's an interesting rivalry.
This was a relatively difficult rankings to do in part because there is a bloc of teams in the 25-45 area that probably needs to be shuffled around.
Many of these teams in the 25-45 range don't play much outside their region. So we rely on what some teams do accomplish across borders to inform some of the decisions.
Back on April 23, which is not that long ago, Bishop Dwenger beat Penn 28-7. This seemed like a clear distinction between the two teams, and we were comfortable with that as Dwenger has done relatively well up until then.
They’d lost big to St. Ignatius but so had everyone else, so aside from that, they beat Moeller, St. Xavier, and lost to Royal Irish by a point.
Penn HS presented their longtime coach Bart Bottorff with a nice present Sunday as they defeated St. Edward to win the Midwest Championship tournament.
Penn, a regular contender for Indiana state, Midwest, and national titles struggled a little last season but bolstered their standing this past fall with a state 7s win.
Rugby Virginia will hold its playoffs this coming weekend at Culpeper Sports Complex in Culpeper, Va., with at least 25 teams in action throughout the day.
