The 2020 Tropical 7s event, slated for Orlando, Fla. April 10-11, has been canceled.

Following on with other cancelations throughout the country due to the COVID19 outbreak, this very large tournament needed teams to be notified, and it took some extra time to communicate with the 100s of teams involved.

Eagle Impact Rugby Academy won the LA Invitational Boys Elite 7s, and also took home the Boys U16 title in competition at the LA Sevens weekend.

EIRA ran out two squads for the Boys Elite, a Red team and a Navy team. However, late injuries took a toll on the roster, and Head Coach Salty Thompson took 20 players to the tournament. More on that in a moment.

The final list teams for the U18 NAHS 7s (Elite) brackets at the 2020 Tropical 7s have been confirmed; sixteen teams will compete in both the boys and girls divisions, which will see some of the highest level of rugby competition at the youth level as the Academy programs fight for a North American Championship.

ORLANDO, Fla.—The Tropical 7s has announced a partnership with Back10PROs to become an official partner of the Tropical 7s Referee Program.

As industry-leading rugby referee specialists, Back10PROs will support the Tropical 7s tournament with dedicated referee coaching and work directly with all Tropical 7s referees during the event.

The North American HS 7s series has added three programs totaling five teams for the 2020 season.

Rhinos Rugby Academy joins with a Boys program and a Girls program.

The Wisconsin Rugby Academy Badgers joins with a Girls program.

And the Gorilla Rugby Academy Boys and Girls programs also join.
