Panther Rugby Academy on the National Sevens Youth Championships over the weekend in Cleveland, but it certainly wasn't easy.
They had their obstacles for sure. They lost starter Tony Mack a few days before the event and another, Kai Campbell, in pool play both to injury. Those two losses hurt but they also revealed how tight this group was.
Eagle Impact Rugby Academy girls scored on the final play to win the National Sevens Youth Rugby Championships girls bracket 17-15 over Belmont Shore.
Final pool play standings are set for the National 7s Youth National Championships, and so we have our playoff seedings for Sunday.

Overall we have to say the standard of play was excellent—kids knew what they needed to do; they could pass and catch and tackle; they were smart and exciting to watch. In some respects, such as the girls goalkicking, and teamwork in all brackets, the standard was better than college 7s we have seen.
The National Youth 7s Championships are set to kick off Friday with the first set of pool games.
There are 10 teams in the Boys U16 bracket in two pools of five.
