College Women
As the CRAA / ACRA women's D2 college playoffs coming together, one team with an excellent shot at doing something is Kutztown.
The Golden Bears ran away from TCNJ over the weekend to win their final regular season game and look ahead to the MARC playoffs. After winning their last game by a large margin, KU was tested this time around, and led only 7-5 at halftime.
Several teams are bubbling to the top in NCR’s Women’s D1 college competition.
With sanity prevailing and Life University’s development not in the competition this year (the Life U. youngsters won comfortably in 2021), the chase is a more crowded one.
However, there remains a striking disparity between school-supported teams and club teams.
Dartmouth stayed undefeated in NIRA action, winning in dramatic fashion over Harvard at Harvard Saturday.
The Big Green of Dartmouth never led in this game until the final whistle, but did manage to mount an impressive comeback, scoring the game-tying try through Katelynn Walker with no time left and having Kristin Bitter hit the conversion to win it 31-29.
All eyes are on NIRA's D1 with the two undefeated teams facing off in Cambridge, MA.
The CRAA Women's D2 playoff brackets have been finalized, with a quarterfinal-semifinal-final sequence, as well as two key play-in games.
The championship match will be played at the CRAA Championship Weekend in Charlotte, NC the weekend of December 3-4, along with a series of men's bowl games and the finals for D1, D2, and D1 Elite women.
