GRR: College Men
Miami of Ohio's convincing victory over Middle Tennessee State was the tipping point to get the team into GRR's Top 15 among D2 college teams.
It's a step for something of a comeback for a program that hit some tough times over the past years.
"We have a great group of student-athletes excited about rugby and the club," said club President Wesley Seay.
National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) will bring back the nation's largest collegiate All-Star events back to Texas this coming January.
Held over consecutive weekends, the men's and women's tournaments will be held in Houston and Austin, respectively.
This ranking is full of good teams.
Sometimes in some divisions, especially when we are ranking only teams that are playing right now (as we are with this fall-only group), we have to really look carefully for rankable teams.
But this group is more about having to find teams to keep out. And we’re moving good programs down, even, sometimes, when they win.
We honestly would love to see some movement in the Top 10 but we don't because all of those teams did what was expected of them this past week.
