The University of South Carolina came back from 21-7 to defeat Tennessee 27-21 in the final of the first tournament in the SCRC 7s series in Gainesville, Fla. Saturday.
The Gamecocks are shooting for an SCRC title and a place in the CRC invitational, and this win gives them a confidence boost if nothing else.

Arizona State University is bringing back The Rugby Bowl, an annual event centered around a major ASU game.
Last year, ASU welcomed BYU to Scottsdale, Ariz., and this year the The Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale Rugby Bowl will be held April 18 at Scottsdale Stadium, with an expected crowd of more than 7,000 and coverage from the PAC 12 network.
Notre Dame College Director of Rugby Brian McCue has noticed the school and his players that he will be stepping down at the end of the 15s season in May.
McCue notified his players last week and also sent a letter to NDC Athletic Director Scott Swain in which he outlined frustration at the lack of funding for the team.
