For a final test for the fall, Arkansas State’s 45-7 victory has to be considered an A, as the Red Wolves defeated longtime rival Davenport.

ASU has been working in a group of new players, but also a new coach in the shape of former ASU All American Shaun Potgieter.

“I am growing into the job,” Potgieter told Goff Rugby Report. “And the guys are learning every day.”

Back in August Goff Rugby Report stopped by the first day of practice for the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute rugby team; it was, in fact, not even a practice, but rather a way to get new payers acquainted with the game.

Air Force Academy pulled off something of an upset Friday in Colorado Springs, defeating Army 31-25 in the second game of the Commander-in-Chief Trophy series.

Air Force has played both of the team’s games in the series, having lost 28-0 at Navy. Army and Navy finish off the series in the New Year. With Navy 1-0, Air Force 1-1, Army 0-1, all three teams could still win it.
