In a tournament disrupted somewhat by lightning, Northern California brought the thunder, with a powerful forward performance that helped to unleash a potent back line.
Sunday was a busy day for the Rocky Mountain Challenge Regional All-Star tournament as the teams had to make up games halted by lightning on Saturday.
As a result, action began at 8am, and moved on through the weekend. The Utah Lions won the tournament, beating Heart of America 17-8 in the final. Utah also won the Boys JV tournament, beating Colorado 33-10 in the final.
