Penn State prop Hope Rogers has been named as the first-ever MA Sorensen Award Winner as the best women’s college rugby player in the country.

The award, presented by the Washington Athletic Club of Seattle, Wash. in conjunction with Goff Rugby Report, will be formally presented at a gala event on June 11.

The eight teams slated for this weekend's two-game Women's DI Elite College playoffs are now seven.

Indiana University has pulled out saying they are hurting for numbers. Head Coach Vaughn Mitchell has notified Penn State that IU is forfeiting and won't be at State College this weekend for the quarterfinals and semifinals.
