GRR: Women College 7s
ATLANTA—The USA Rugby 7s Collegiate Championships (R7CC), taking place at Kennesaw State University’s (KSU) Fifth Third Bank Stadium from May 14-15, 2022, has released a bunch of names of teams competing in the various brackets.
National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) opened ticket sales for the 2022 Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) at the Shrine on Airline in New Orleans, Louisiana. Hosted by Major League Rugby’s NOLA Gold, the three-day tournament will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30.
Four separate college conferences in the Northeast have joined together to run a series of 7s tournaments this spring.
The Frostbite College Tournament crowned five champions this weekend.
Pitt, AIC, Bloomsburg, Loyola, and Kutztown all came away with trophies.
Perhaps most dominant on the day were the AIC women. The Yellow Jackets went 4-0, giving up only one try all day and outscoring opponents 192-7. It was a fairly untouchable performance.
USA Rugby's Collegiate Council-sanctioned college 7s championships, the NCCR 7s, is set for May 14-15 at Kennesaw State University's main stadium, and there are some familiar aspects to the event.
