The US Merchant Marine Academy is now clear atop the Tri-State Conference after beating William Paterson 50-5 Saturday.
The result was an impressive one as WPU is certainly one of the major competitors in the Tri-State Men's DII conference, and to have Kings Point beat them by 45 points is a bit of a head-turner.

Former United States Merchant Marina Academy rugby player Adam Satterfield was one of two US Marines killed Friday in a helicopter crash during a training exercise.
Satterfield was a standout lock forward for Kings Point, graduating from the Academy in 2011.
