GRR: UC Davis
The USA Rugby women's DI (spring) final is set with Virginia and UC Davis winning their playoff brackets this weekend.
Sacramento State and UC Davis will meet each other Sunday afternoon after the teams won Pacific Western semifinal games Saturday.
UC Davis handled Nevada fairly comfortably 35-3.
While Central Florida, University of Virginia, UC San Diego, UC Davis, and Washington State hold the top seeds of their conferences, they are very aware that this weekend's DI Collegiate Women's Round of 8 will consist of the most challenging competition yet.
Tomorrow, University of Washington (North #2), Chico State (West #2), UC Berkeley (West #3), UCSD (South #1), UCLA (South #2), Washington State (North #1), Arizona State (South #3), and UC Davis (West #1) will be competing in the Pacific Mountain Rugby Conference playoffs and a place in the national Women's DI Spring Quarterfinals.
Eight of the nine Pacific Western Conference teams are in action this weekend, including defending national DIAA champs the UC Davis Aggies.
Davis is 3-0 and in good position to win the conference again, but the Aggies face a stern test with Stanford, which has started 2-0-1.
