GRR: Tri-State Conference
Marist defeated Hofstra to win the Tri State Conference Men's 7s Championship Sunday, making it a 15s-7s conference double for Marist.
Hofstra made the final with a 31-0 defeat of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the semifinals, while Marist held off Fairfield 30-19 to make the championship game. The Fairfield team entered into this tournament was their development side.
On Sunday, April 10 the Tri-State Conference Men's 7s Championship will be held at Hofstra University, with 16 teams in action.
The teams will come from 13 colleges, with three of those colleges, Hofstra, Vassar, and Marist, fielding two sides. The overall winner may advance to the NCR tournament on Memorial Day weekend in New Orleans.
Sixteen teams descend on Fairfield University for the Tri-State women's 7s championships this coming Saturday.
The tournament will feature 27 games over one day with four pools each with four teams.
