GRR: Tournaments
The Pacific Cup kicks off Thursday at noon with some of the top HS teams in the nation facing off.
The tournament is a three-game, three-day quarterfinal-semifinal-final bracket format and will be held on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay.
The games will be hosted by the San Francisco Golden Gate club, and the tournament’s main sponsor is Canterbury.
UMass-Amherst, Roger Williams, and Maine-Farmington claimed bracket championships in the Men's College divisions of the Beast of the East held last week in Rhode Island.
Gonzaga HS will host the Jesuit Rugby Classic this weekend at Morven Park in Leesburg, Va.
The Beat of the East, in its 33rd year, has three brackets of men’s college teams with DI, DII, and DIII teams totaling more than 40.
Division I
Heading up the DI bracket is Boston College, ranked #38 among all DI college teams by Goff Rugby Report. UConn, Albany, UMass, Rhode Island, and Kings Point rounds out a highly-competitive bracket.
Winona State in Minnesota is hosting the Fool's Fest tournament, a four-bracket college 7s tournament, this weekend, with two being national qualifiers.
The tournament will be held in Rochester, Minn.
