GRR: Scholz Award
Who will win the 2019-2020 Rudy Scholz Award?
We don't know, but we'll find out in a few days. Before then, we thought it would be good for you to learn a little bit more about the finalists.
Today, it's the two scrumhalves: Ryan Rees of Life University and Connor Buckley of Iona.
The finalists for the Rudy Scholz Award as the top men's college rugby player in the United States have been selected.
A combination of coach/team votes, and fan votes, have whittled the list of nominees down to five finalists. The top fan vote-getter is an automatic finalist, and so is the top team vote-getter (those votes usually logged by coaches or team presidents).
There is still time to vote for the Rudy Scholz and MA Sorensen Nominees.
Here’s what you need to know:
DeadlineFriday, April 3 is the final day of voting.
There are two polls for voting for the 2019-2020 Rudy Scholz Award—one is for team coaches and leaders, with one vote per college team, and the other is for anyone who is a fan of rugby in the USA to vote for a candidate.
We've put together a series of clips of some of the plays that prompted these 18 players to be nominated for the 2019-2020 Scholz Award.
