Still Time To Vote In Scholz And Sorensen Awards

There is still time to vote for the Rudy Scholz and MA Sorensen Nominees.

Here’s what you need to know:

Friday, April 3 is the final day of voting.

Team Voting

Every rugby club in the USA can vote as a unit—usually through a vote registered by your head coach or club president. College teams are weighted more than other teams. But all clubs are weighted differently from fan votes. One team vote is worth more than one fan vote.

You can vote once for a Scholz candidate, and once for a Sorensen candidate. Multiple votes from a team or club will only be counted once.

Fan Voting

You can vote for more than one candidate, but multiple votes for the same candidate will not count.

What Are You Voting For?

You are voting for the finalists. We will reduce the list of nominees to a list of four or five finalists. The selection panels for each of the awards will then vote for the winner.

The Rudy Scholz Award is given to the top men's college rugby player in the United States. The MA Sorensen Award is given to the top women's college rugby player in the USA. The awards are sponsored by the Washington Athletic Club of Seattle, Wash.
