Our latest list of historical rankings looks at the past five season of D1A.
As we did with the Boys HS teams, we are looking back at the college rankings over the last few years.
It was in the 2016-17 season that we started to separate out the D1AA teams from the D1A teams in our rankings. For the most part, we used to just mix the D1A and D1AA teams into an all-D1 ranking. At the end of 2016-17 we separated them out.
We tracked the combined final season rankings of all the high school teams from 2015-2020, and we came across some surprises.
Herriman could easily have retained #1 status after beating Riverton, but that wasn't a very close game, while Xavier was busy playing yet another highly-ranked team, and winning..
So a new #1 again. The Charlotte Tigers were hugely impressive in the Carolina Ruggerfest; it's not just them winning, it's how they are winning with shutouts.
