The Tri-State men's D2 league has finalized its schedule for the fall of 2021.
The Tri-State men's league will continue to separate D2 and Small College. The D2 league includes six teams that will all play each other once from mid-September to mid-October. The top two teams in the league will get a bye to the semifinals, while the other four will play off for a spot in the semis.
The Southern Rugby Conference has set its schedule for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Several collegiate conferences are starting to confirm their seasons and that's good news for college rugby in America as we may well see something very close to a normal season.
Lindenwood defeated Life 24-14 in the final of the Men’s CRC Monday afternoon, surprising many who expected Life’s high octane attack to get the better of the Lions.
But unleashing a physical, aggressive defensive strategy, Lindenwood took away Life’s ability to exploit space and got in the faces of the Running Eagles.
The CRC college tournament is set to kick off at 9AM Saturday morning in New Orleans.
The first half of the women's tournament will be held with the 1st Round and the quarterfinals being played. In addition, the first round of the men's games will be played.
There's also a college alumni 10s tournament with a round-robin series going on there.
The Women's CRC in New Orleans may well be a foregone conclusion in terms of who makes the final, but we could have a dark horse or two.
Lindenwood's 15s team has been dominant this season, and while that doesn't necessarily mean the Lions will roll through a 7s tournament, history tells us that Lindenwood, paced by MA Sorensen Award-winner Richelle Stephens, will be fully prepared.
