The Las Vegas Invitational has been allowed to reinstate its men’s college 7s competition as a qualifier for the Collegiate Rugby Championships invitational in June.

Below is a list of USA Rugby's men's collegiate championships, as well as some of the privately run national-level competitions.
USA Rugby ran a DI championship through 2010, and then split DI into DIA and DIAA. Some of the teams in DIA and DIAA have opted out of those playoffs to play in the Varsity Cup.

Longtime St. Mary’s College of California volunteer coach Tony Samaniego is leaving the program after almost ten years with the team.
Samaniego, who helped run the Gaels 7s team, partnering with John Tyler and Mark Bass to lead the team to the USA Rugby Plate in 2011, 4th in 2012, and a runner-up position in 2013.
