This is a calm before the storm kind of weekend in D2, but at the same time, the games that are being played carry plenty of weight.
UNC-Charlotte vs North Carolina State is a game being made up after it was postponed on October 1, and has turned out to be a conference decider as well as a national playoff seeding decider.
After some delays and a little shuffling the NCR Men's Collegiate playoff brackets have been set.
D1, D1AA, and D2 playoffs will be held over the next few weeks, as will Small-College playoffs (which haven't been released), with the finals culminating in Houston over the weekend of December 10.
Ave Maria University in Florida has started a varsity collegiate rugby program.
The men's team will start competition in the 2023-2024 season and they have hired Tom Dockery as Head Coach.

GeorgetownThe Georgetown Hoyas not only won the MARC but won it in impressive fashion 65-19 over Villanova. Considering Villanova had only one opponent get closer than 20 points, that's a big score.
It is a little bit of a quieter weekend now that some teams have dropped off during conference championship time.
With a few teams having already secured conference titles, they take a week off. Others, of course, didn't make the playoffs or were eliminated, so their fall is basically done.
It was a wild ride while it lasted.
