As UMass-Lowell looks to win the Rugby Northeast DII conference this weekend, they will need a big game from Matt Charest.

The multi-sport athlete who is that rarity, a hooker who kicks goals, has been through platy and is building on his 2013 Rugby Northeast Player of the Year award this year.

New to DII, RWU, CCSU Face Off
Two former National Small College Rugby Organization conferences will see their champions play off this weekend for a place in the USA Rugby Men's DII College playoffs. Roger Williams comfortably won the Colonial Coast Conference, both in their regular season record and in the playoffs. Although, the playoffs themselves weren't without surprise.

Weather a Concern in Playoffs

The extremely cold weather expected through much of the nation this coming weekend could derail some Men's DII College play-ins.

Cold weather with rain and snow is expected through much of Upstate New York, where four teams will play off to see who gets into the Round of 16. Those teams and regions are relatively used to such hardship so that might not be a problem.
