GRR: Men DI Rankings
Our preseason D1A rankings have an air of speculation about them.
Of course you can't be sure how a team will look on the field at any time, but coming off a period of 18 months where some teams hardly played, this fall's first ranking could be even more difficult.
Well we took a few weeks off from these rankings because the games were so few and far between that one game was unlikely to change much.
As it was, we still didn't get much in the way of games even by waiting. And we were waiting for a big upset to shift teams around, but we didn't get that, either.
More teams in action and more are in the rankings.
We've expanded to a Top 25. This is made a LOT easier by the fact that some teams who got onto the field this past weekend won games against ranked teams.
Indiana did that. So did Louisville. So did Western Michigan.
We took a week off from the Men's College rankings as last week everything kind of went as expected and we had no changes.
But this week, what with 18 teams in action we have much, much more data.
Several games gave us more of a look at where the teams fall in the Men's College rankings.
Certainly Central Washington's relatively emphatic defeat of Arizona gave CWU a well-deserved bump to #3. BYU< having tied Central, moves up right with them.
