Coming out of a 3-3 performance in Vancouver, USA 7s team Head Coach Mike Friday seemed relatively at ease.
And perhaps he should be. The Eagles produced a more consistent group of games this past weekend at BC Place, crushing France, beating England, and beating Wales handily.
The USA 7s Tournament would be incomplete without a USA vs. Canada match, and this year, that rivalry played out during the final game of day two. Canada had rallied against rumors that it was in a downward phase and won its pool. The Eagles went 2-0-1 and impressed fans with a tie against South Africa, which won three of the previous four USA 7s.
There’s a lot on the plate of Madison Hughes, as the former USA age-grade star is set to captain Dartmouth and also compete for a place on the USA 7s team.
Collegiate All Americans Head Coach Matt Sherman has named his starting lineup to face the Ontario Blues Canadian provincial side in the final match of the All Americans’ three-game sumer assembly.
