There was certainly an inevitability about it all, but inevitability can be its own burden.
The D1 Elite final comes to St. Charles, Mo. and while Lindenwood is a heavy favorite, the Lions would be foolish to take all of that to heart.
Life University shocked Central Washington in the DI Elite semifinals 29-20 thanks to a more adventurous approach and some execution in the red zone.
Central continued to play aggressive rugby and worked the phases, but they continually found themselves defending their own tryline thanks to turnovers and some impressive runs from the Running Eagles.
It took some doing but the DI Elite competition did get played, for the most part, and this weekend we get to see the semifinals.
Lindenwood and Life University both kept rolling in Mid-South Conference action, although in slightly different winning margins.
