Isaiah Poku scored two tries in the first half to help lead #6 Arkansas State University past DIAA contender Lindenwood-Belleville 41-12 Saturday.
Both teams got off to a slow start before Poku, a 6-0, 195-pound sophomore flanker from Daytona Beach, Fla., sprinted down the sideline for the score 16 minutes in. Shortly after, Poku extended A-State’s lead with another try.
Without playing this weekend, NC State did what it needed to do and will be in the 2nd-vs-3rd playoff in the Chesapeake Conference.
There's a lot at stake this weekend in DIAA rugby this weekend.
Chief among these is the Chesapeake, with five teams in the hunt for playoff potential.

The Men's Pacific Western Conference and the Women's Pacific Mountain West Conference will hold their 7s championships November 2 at Stanford University.

Iowa Central Community College has been notified that if the men's rugby team wants to play in the playoffs, it will have to be in DIAA.
