As everything heats up in D1A here’s a look at who performed well over the last couple of weeks.
Evan Roode, Arkansas StateA powerful lock who seems to be involved everywhere, Roode had a huge influence on ASU’s win over Lindenwood.
First off, just before the weekend, D1A released its Power Rankings for February.
Here they are:
Central Washington defeated Cal Poly 39-20 Saturday in a game that probably reflected well on both teams.
While CWU was in a situation where they were likely to win from the outset, they weren't able to fully shake Cal Poly and the Mustangs scored two good tries later in the game to stick around.
"Pour of our effort," said Cal Poly Head Coach Chris O'Brien.
Arkansas State, ranked #8 in the CRAA D1A Power Rankings and #9 by GRR defeated Lindenwood (ranked #2 by both rankings) 13-7 on a wild, windy day at Curt Huckaby Field in Jonesboro, Ark.
This was a low-scoring match and both teams defended their line through the game as it was a nailbiter with two minutes left. The urgency to halt scoring chances was high energy throughout.
