National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) has announced that the 2022 Collegiate Rugby Championship (CRC) will return to Gold Mine on Airline, in New Orleans, La., home of Major League Rugby’s NOLA Gold.
The three-day tournament will be held over Memorial Day weekend, May 28-30.
Yes, yes Lindenwood won the men's CRC 24-14 over Life, but that wasn't all.
The tournament itself happened, with 28 men's teams and 14 women's teams and alumni/select 10s teams as well. We got to play, said so many players and coaches.
Lindenwood defeated Life 24-14 in the final of the Men’s CRC Monday afternoon, surprising many who expected Life’s high octane attack to get the better of the Lions.
But unleashing a physical, aggressive defensive strategy, Lindenwood took away Life’s ability to exploit space and got in the faces of the Running Eagles.
Lindenwood University won the 2021 CRC women's bracket with a tense, physical 10-7 win over Life University.
We’re in to the quarterfinals for the Men’s bracket at the CRC.
Lindenwood will play Western Michigan, Army will play Air Force, Lindenwood will play Notre Dame College, and Davenport will play James Madison.
Several of these teams encountered some stiff competition in getting to this point, and some responded well while others responded … adequately.
