Clemson defeated Citadel in the final to win the Big Red 7s this weekend at the campus of The Citadel in South Carolina.
Citadel won the Cup in the first stop of the Southern Conference 7s series, held in Wilmington, NC.

Warmup TimeTeams are looking for non-tournament ways to warm up and one example was at The Citadel, where the rugby program ran out two teams against College of Charleston and Coastal Carolina. Citadel B went a creditable 1-1 and Citadel's A-side won both games.
The Furman Invitational wrapped up with six shortened games among four teams in the Carolinas.
Furman (of course), new varsity program Belmont Abbey, DIAA program South Carolina, and Citadel (which, like Furman, has a new coach) met up.
Three well-regarded teams from the Southern Rugby Conference (Men's D2) plus a perennial SCRC contender will meet up this weekend in a tournament of shortened games to kick off the fall in the South.
