In making AIC the #1 DI men’s college team in the fall I had to make a few assumptions, because AIC didn’t play everyone in the country; I had to make assumptions based on the style of play, and the athleticism, and the type of players other teams have.
The ongoing lamentation in men’s DI college rugby is the fact that the competitions are all split up.

There was much to prove when North Texas took on Rutgers Saturday in the ACRC Bowl Series.
UNT entered the weekend ranked #50 by Goff Rugby Report among fall DI teams. A loss to unranked Rutgers (a team close to the top 50 for sure) would likely have seen UNT dropped from the rankings.
After a long fall sprinkled with losses, St. Bonaventure won games against Notre Dame College and Buffalo in November, and then capped off their fall with a 19-17 victory over MAC Runner-up Western Michigan in the ACRC Bowl Series.
After each game of the ACRC Bowl Series in Charlotte, NC (and the one game in New Rochelle, NY), awards were given for co-players of the game (three for each winning team, and two for each losing team).
