Ohio State put Purdue to the sword in impressive fashion Saturday in Big Ten action, beating the Boilermakers 78-7.
JoJo Eramo continued his torrid scoring pace, scoring the first try of the day, and adding four more, including three in a row late in the second half.
OSU also got tries tries from John Walsh, Luke Far, Scott Freitag, Ryan Skelly, and Ronan Forrestal. Ian Hildebrandt scored two, and Taylor Hurff kicked nine conversions, including the first seven in a row.
Also winning big was Wisconsin, which hammered Minnesota 88-5. Tyler Crass was a standout on a good day for the Badgers, scoring two tries. Fullback Dan Pettay scored three and Hunter Crass and Sam Enerson also touched down twice.
Meanwhile Indiana defeated Michigan 41-7. IU scored early and added another try midway through the first half to start to take control.
“Our forwards did a really good job if keeping the ball away from them,” said IU’s Bryce Campbell. “And the work they did allowed the backline to really open it up.”
So once again, the IU offense started with the effort up front. And, added Campbell, “this was by far our best defensive effort.”
