No one ever accused the Ivy League of being predictable. The women’s DI conference started interestingly enough, as varsity teams Brown and Harvard battled to a 24-15 decision (in Brown’s favor), but akin to seasons past, the upsets are far from over.

Dartmouth had opened up its season with a 62-3 win over Princeton, followed by a 43-7 loss to Brown. The order seemed to suss out: Brown, Harvard, Dartmouth, Princeton. But the Tigers weren’t satisfied with the assumption and overcame a halftime deficit to win 28-15 over the Crimson last weekend. Harvard, the reigning Ivy League champion, is still in second place on points, but has played one more game than Dartmouth and Princeton. The teams' relative strengths will come into full focus this weekend, when Harvard and Dartmouth play each other, and Brown takes on Princeton.

The other three games last weekend didn’t hold the same drama, as Dartmouth and Brown played Tier B teams, and Penn beat up Yale 64-0.

Penn was coming off a tough loss to Princeton the weekend prior, and Tiffany Agalaba was eager to erase that memory, scoring five times. Penn was also happy to send Beck Williams, All American Bridget Amoako, Emma Edoga, Charlotte Matthai, Lucille Alexander over for tries in the one-sided affair.

Dartmouth adjusted well to the slippery conditions and relied on the consistency of its forwards to produce gaps in Cornell’s defense. The result was a 55-0 win in the Big Green’s first homestand of the Ivy season. Audrey Perez was the big scorer on the day with four tries, while captain Diana Wise and Kerry Ann Conlin scored two apiece. Charlotte Knott and Karampreet Kaur also scored, while Michaela Conway and Tatjana Toeldte split the kicking duties.

Brown had a field day with Columbia, running up 101 points in the shutout. Once again, the back combo of Kiki Morgan and Oksana Goretaya had their way with the defense and scored nine tries between them. Kathryn Graves and Lauren Oxendine contributed two apiece, while Hannah Yi, Jasmine McAdams and May Siu added a five-pointer each. Sofia Rudin handled all of the kicking duties.

The teams play within their tiers this weekend.
