Naming Interim CEO Indicates Permanent Choice Not Soon
USA Rugby announced today that COO Jim Snyder will step in as interim CEO.
This likely means that there won't be an announcement soon of a new permanent CEO. That was stated in the release, which said such announcement would be made "in due course."
Goff Rugby Report already reported that USA Rugby's search group had established a short list. So it's now a case of picking from that list. The naming of Snyder as interim CEO says that either someone has been picked, and they are in negotiations with said choice. Or, it could mean that USA Rugby is yet to come to an agreement with anyone, and the search group is still finalizing a choice.
Either way, by picking an interim CEO the message seems to be, there's business to take care of and the new person won't be in position soon enough to take care of it.
