LA 7s Will Be Phenomenal Says Williams
The USA stop on the Sevens World Series will be in the LA area for the first time since 2007, and Kevon Williams is pretty excited about the prospect.
"I think it's going to be phenomenal," said the former New Mexico Highlands All American, who is now a regular threat for the USA as a wing, center, halfback, or whatever else they need him to do. "There's been a lot of back-and-forth about 'Vegas is where it's been so that's where it needs to stay.' I think Los Angeles is going to do a great job. A lot of people's family and friends that we know here, that we've met here, are going to be able to come and experience what we talk about all the time."
The LA 7s will be held at Dignity Health Sports Park February 29 to March 1. Tickets On Sale Now

The USA team trains in Chula Vista, Calif., not that far south just outside San Diego, and the team has done a lot of outreach in the region.
"It's going to be great. We do a lot of work with the high schools and with the youth organizations ... and for them maybe a five-hour drive to Vegas is quite a bit, but then you tell someone they've got to drive two hours and some people who live further north [of San Diego] an hour and a half, literally everybody in the stands will probably [be someone] we've been with or worked with at some point in time and it's going to be great to have those people in the stands cheering us on."
And Wiliams added one more thing about the LA 7s.
"The weather's going to be perfect, we know that."
