USA Rugby CEO Nigel Melville will step down from his position at the end of 2016.

Melville's contract expires at the end of this year, and he has already informed the USA Rugby Board that this will be his last year. Melville, who recently attained US citizenship, will remain in the USA and will transition to head up Rugby International Marketing (RIM), the for-profit arm of USA Rugby, which works on event promotion and is looking to start an online broadcast channel. According to sources, RIM paid half of Melville's salary in 2015.

USA Rugby's Congress and Board will begin a search for a new CEO of USA Rugby this year. Melville is already assisting them in the search.
