Kutztown 2-for-2 in Canada
Kutztown University crushed one of the top college teams in Ontario Sunday, finishing their trip North with a 2-0 record.
Saturday KU beat Ottawa 57-10 on Saturday, and then turned their attention to Algonquin, the Ontario College runners up in 2013.
Kutztown held the Thunder from crossing the goalline early and took turnover ball close to the Algonquin line. The Bears exploited a superior backline to torch the Thunder for ten tries, six converted. Senior wing Robert Stortz scored two tries, making it five on the weekend. Scoring ince were Nu'u Aiava, Jonathan Sage, Adam Grider, Johan Van Wyk, Trent Hensley, Devon Somma, Cap Huizenga and Andrew Paradise.
Throughout the weekend, the Kutztown forward pack was outstanding, with junior No. 8 Wes Hartman and the new lock combination of freshman Nick Holt and sophomore Adam Grider getting the Bears some go-forward. In the backs, senior flyhalf Brad Frederick was excellent.
