USA Men's 15s 2023 Tour Coaches

Here's a look at the current USA Men's 15s Coaching Staff for the Summer 2023 tour of Europe.

Scott Lawrence (Head Coach)

The interim Head Coach, Lawrence is a former Eagle himself and played for Grand Rapids and Life University. A brilliant rugby analyst he has been working on a long-term plan to improve the Eagles’ culture.

It's been this approach, worrying about the future not the present, that has endeared him to observers.

Alama Ieremia  (Attack Coach)

Born in Samoa Ieremia played five times for Samoa and then 40 times for the All Blacks as well as over 100 games in Super Rugby. The spectacular center brings an enormous amount of knowledge to the Eagles and that is bolstered by his work as Head Coach of the Samoan national team and then of Auckland in New Zealand.

Nick Easter (Forwards and Defense)

Easter played 54 times for England at No. 8 and after that has coached with Harlequins, Sharks of Super Rugby, and Newcastle. He also brings a huge amount of experience as a player and a coach in the professional and international arena.

Blake Bradford (Scrum)

Bradford is well-known to Lawrence as they worked together at Life and also at Rugby ATL. Now Director of Men’s Rugby at Life he is steeped in how the scrum is put together.

Alex Ross (Athlete Performance)

Ross was an All American at San Diego State and played for the USA 7s team before going to New Zealand where he was in the PhD program at Auckland University of Technology. He worked in S&C and Sport Science for New Zealand Rugby, The Auckland Blues, USA Rugby, the Argentina Rugby Union for three years, and then the New York Mets. Despite his rugby connections it is a pretty big coup to get Ross back working with the Eagles. His understanding of athlete preparation is world class.

Elvis Seveali’i (Individual Skill)

Seveali’i played 22 times for Samoa and professionally for 14 years. For the past five years he has been the Head Coach for Cal’s women’s team and his understanding of how players work on specific skill execution will be a potential game-changer for the USA team.
