USA Rugby announced today the 2024 U.S. Olympic Men’s Rugby Sevens Team as they prepare to compete at the Olympic Summer Games Paris 2024.
Captain Kevon Williams leads the team as they pursue the USA Men’s Rugby Sevens’ first Olympic medal, 100 years after the USA last won Olympic gold in rugby. The USA finished 9th at Rio 2016 and 6th Tokyo 2020.
The Eagle Impact Rugby Academy boys U18 team in tour in Spain was handed a rather humbling lesson in playing rugby at pace and with power as they lost big to the Spanish U18 team.
The World Rugby U20 Trophy kicks off in two days with the first round of matches in Scotland.
The USA Girls U18s and U20s will have a busy summer of action, USA Rugby has announced.
The U18s will play in a festival of shortened matches in Wales in late July, facing off with Netherlands, Scotland, and Wales. The final USA vs Wales match on Saturday, July 27th. The final USA vs Wales match will be a full 70-minute affair and will be broadcast live on RugbyPass TV.
As July approaches the Paris Olympics approach, too.
The USA women’s team is going through a period of preparation that will include training with Canada and hopefully some more. in Chula Vista and then Tours before they enter the Olympic Village.
After that, it’s about focusing on themselves, and focusing on gold.
