The French U17 team have defeated the USA High School All American U17s 65-6 at the Field of Honor at the Centre National de Rugby in Marcoussis, France Tuesday.
With less than 48 hours to prepare the HSAA team had a lot of prep work to fit in in not much time, and battled through the first, and probably toughest, game of their European tour.
The High School All American U17 team is already hard at work at the Centre National de Rugby in Marcoussis south of Paris, and they better be, as they have just a day to prepare to face the France U17s program at the French Federation de Rugby HQ.
The week in pros overseas probably belonged to USA fullback Chris Wyles, as he scored two tries as Saracens defeated Harlequins 42-14 before 84,000 at Wembley Stadium in London.
HONG KONG – The USA Men’s Eagles Sevens finished Hong Kong runners up in the Plate after something of a let-down on Day Three of the grueling tournament.
After winning their pool in the first two days of competition, the Eagles lost their Cup Quarterfinal against Samoa, defeated Argentina in the Plate Semi, and then lost a close one to Australia in the Plate FInal.
In a thrilling game the USA tied England 21-21 in pool play in Hong Kong and won their pool on points difference, setting up Sunday’s Cup Quarterfinal against Samoa.
The Eagles went into the game knowing they were ahead of England on points difference, and thus a tie would see them pool winners. Won or lose, the USA was in the Cup Quarters.
