USA Men's 15s Head Coach Gary Gold has named his squad for the Final Qualifier Tournament in Dubai.
USA coach Rob Cain has named his team for the Rugby World Cup 2021 quarterfinal against Canada at Waitakere Stadium on 30 October (11:30PM ET October 29 for fans in the USA).
As outlined in the recent squad announcement, the USA men’s 7s team will enter the Hong Kong 7s without almost all of their experienced players.
Several of the players are injured, or coming off injuries and need an extra week or two to get fit.
The USA Men's 7s team looks to the Hong Kong 7s to kick off the 2022-2023 World Series, and will do so with a very young and mostly inexperienced team.
The iconic Hong Kong 7s, normally held in late March, has not been held at all since 2019 because of COVID shutdowns. However, it's back, for this November.
In a few days the USA Men's 15s team will name its squad for the Final Qualifier Tournament in Dubai next month.
