So there’s little time to ease into things even with two weeks of preparation going on right now. The Eagles have Japan to face and then Canada and Fiji before Sione Fukofuka finalizes his World Cup squad.
The beginning of the USA Women's National 15s team's 2025 campaign, a Rugby World Cup year, is around the corner and there's some interesting news.
The Eagles will play Japan at Wallis Annenberg Stadium at UCLA on April 26. That game is expected to sell out in what is a relatively small stadium.
World Rugby will not be holding a World Rugby Trophy this year, and will instead implement plans to expand the U20 World Championship for 2026.
What that does, however, is leave a bunch of national U20 programs without a specific competition and, crucially, a funded competition.
Singapore was not great for the USA 7s teams.
Hoping to get on a roll as the LA Sevens Championships approach, the Eagles instead found themselves trying not to finish in last place in their respective tournaments.
