High School Girls
In a bit of a head-turner in girls HS rugby, Catholic Memorial beat Divine Savior Holy Angels 21-17 in the final of the Wisconsin Girls Rugby championship.
Hamilton defeated Green Bay to secure the 3rd place trophy, and Muskego scored their first try and earned their team’s first win.
Rugby Ohio held their fall 7s championships and the girls competition saw one very well-balanced team rise to the top.

The Rugby New York 7s continues with the addition of a few teams from outside the state.
In the Girls Bracket, the NY All Stars (a group of girls made up of Aspetuck, Queens, Albany, and Pelham players) played Play Rugby in two games, winning both. While this seems like not much, it's something with many girls teams still trying to build back.
Played in near perfect conditions and on the excellent pitches of the United States Air Force Academy, the 2021 CIRA State Championships saw Summit High School (Frisco, Colo.) take the Colorado Cup with 33-0 win over Monarch High School (Superior, Colo.), while Denver's East High School topped Regis Jesuit (Aurora, Colo.) 24-7 for 3rd place.
Going into the Rugby PA championship weekend the Hempfield Knightmares had every reason to wear the favorites’ mantel.
The Knightmares had, after all, won 13 games and lost just the one before Fall Fest in Malvern, Pa. Their closest rivals were likely Doylestown, but a Dowlstown team that had graduated some very talented players and were 9-5 on the season.
