High School Girls
Fourteen girls single-school HS rugby teams converged on Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. this past weekend for the Girls Single-School Championships.
The Girls High School Club Championship was won Sunday by the Sacramento Amazons (Sac PAL) Sunday at the campus of Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Wash.
The Rugby Washington Boys and Girls Loggers All-Star Rugby Program has announced a partnership with the Seattle Saracens, one of the nation’s top men’s and women’s clubs in both 15s and 7s, designed to provide coaching and logistical support for elite high school rugby in Washington State.
The Plano girls team went into the Texas Girls HS 7s championships knowing they had a big hill to climb.
Kingwood entered that same tournament undefeated over the season, and when Plano lost one of their pool games, 7-5 to HEB, it looked as if Kingwood might roll.
So much for predictions.
The Girls High School Single-School Nationals, hosted at Lindenwood University and sanctioned by USA Rugby, has set their schedule for the weekend of May 21-22 and confirmed all participating teams.
