Boys HS Club Rankings 2026 Week 8

We've not been updating the club rankings every week because the density of club games hasn't been super high.

But with the Puriri Memorial, we did have a bunch this week. Now, it's important to be careful about an event like the Puriri. This is a preseason event and teams often put out a development group and take a loss in order to help players get up to speed.

Raptors Defeat Golden Eagle in Opener

The Raptors of Tennessee met up with Golden Eagle out of Georgia in Knoxville, Tenn. Saturday, with the Tennessee team taking the game 24-3.

This was the first outing of the season for the Raptors and it showed as both teams struggled to get going on a muddy pitch. A young Golden Eagle had already played Roswell, losing a close one. They have strong numbers but need experience.

Teams Make Statements at Puriri Memorial Invitational

Cavemen and Herriman led the way in the Puriri Memorial Invitational over the weekend in St. George, Utah, but other teams showed well in this preseason rugby event.

Held in memory of Ra Puriri and Michael Puriri, both instrumental in the growth of rugby in Utah, the PMI is a must-play event for teams in the Beehive State and also teams from out-of-state.

Boys HS Nationals Invitations Imminent

We're hearing that the Boys HS Rugby National Championships invitations, or at least most of them, will be coming out in a day or two or three.

The tournament invites teams based on their desire and ability to compete at the highest level in order to give those teams time to plan and deal with logistics.
