High School Boys
Pendleton Rugby came off a challenging three games at the Boys HS National Championships only to have to play their state final game on Monday against the Westside Black Swarm.
These two teams met in the 2022 D2 semis, with Pendleton winning 35-31, so they knew this game would be a tough one.
The Boys HS National Championship is over and done and we have out champions, but we also have some thoughts and observations about the game and the tournament.
Here goes.
Champions were crowned and championship matchups were decided in Boys HS rugby this weekend and here's a look at what happened outside of the HS National Championships.
As you know we were spending a large amount of time at the Boys HS Rugby National Championships.
However, there was some other rugby going on this weekend as well, including playoffs in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Indiana, and a state final in New Jersey.
The Boys HS National Championships was hugely competitive and entertaining.
Even teams that lost big ended up rebounding to win games. Meanwhile, teams that didn't win a game were close every time. It was strange that way, but shows also that the HS game is competitively strong.
