Coming off a loss to the Bayou Hurricanes the week before, Brother Martin was looking to get back on the winning side. But, facing the two-time defending Louisiana state champion Blues Jays made it tough.

The SCIRF goes on as rivals Cathedral and Torrey Pines, two teams less than a mile apart, renewed their rivalry last Saturday.

Cathedral, off to a blistering start, jumped to a quick 12-0 lead thanks to two tries by Miles McCormick. Chris Buonarati converted one of the tries from a difficult angle.
