South Doyle had a good weekend at the Nash Bash U19 tournament, beating the Chiefs, Sir John MacDonald out of Canada, and Dallas Jesuit. Also 3-0 on the weekend were the KC Jr. Blues, who beat the Chiefs, Sir John MacDonald, and Oakland.

Here are the Boys HS scores from Nash Bash - there were two divisions, but all boys scores are listed together.

The Liberty Patriots produced something of a statement game Saturday as they defeated 1-0 Kent 50-12 in Rugby Washington league play.

Liberty seemed to be on top of their game plan for most of the game, putting pressure on the Crusaders and hardly letting them out of their half for the first 20 minutes.

St. Thomas Aquinas is following up their trip to the Lindenwood HS tournament with a two-game visit to two of the stronger teams in Colorado.

Aquinas faces Regis Jesuit on Saturday, followed by East HS on Sunday.

“We have a good relationship with Aquinas,” said East HS Head Coach Bill Baer. “We visited them last year, and it’s important to play outside of your region.”

Rugby Colorado’s league season may be getting off to a snowy start - when does it not? - but it’s a start with many implications, as the Littleton Eagle take on perennial state champs Colorado Springs.

“We’ve been doing a lot of shoveling,” joked Littleton Head Coach Charlie Riley about his team preparing for the always tough Grizzlies.
