Marquette University finished their season in a peak, beating a very good Green Bay Leprechauns team 50-0 to win the Wisconsin State championship.
It was a wet and muddy day and with the playoff games having produced various handling errors due in part to the conditions and in part due to defensive pressure, the same was expected in this final. However, the Hilltoppers adjusted.
The St. Ignatius High School Wildcats claimed victory in the Ohio high School Varsity State Championship Final against St. Xavier with a final score of 26-15.
The Olentangy Blues clinched the Ohio State Boys High School Club Championship, holding off the Dayton Northern Force 24-19 Saturday at Fortress Obetz in Obetz, Ohio.
In a suspenseful showdown at the state rugby tournament, the Blues and Northern Force battled it out, with Olentangy unable to shake Dayton and get a comfortable lead.
Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda, Md. will be hosting Leinster Rugby’s School of Excellence in conjunction with Syracuse University rugby this summer.
The day camp will be held on July 20 and 21 and will focus on high level skill development, game understanding, activity and enjoyment.
It's not the most crowded weekend now that several states have wrapped up, but there are plenty of playoffs.
